Changing the Table Defaults

Summary

The Table Manager function allows you to change certain table defaults, such as

  • the default number of rows in a table 
  • the default block label width 
  • the application of the default to all new documents, and 
  • whether to show the Options Screen for updating Topic/See Page tables.

Procedure

Follow the steps in the table below to modify the table defaults.

Select Table Manager from the Present ribbon group.

Result: The Table Manager dialog box appears.

Access the Setting tabs of the Table Manager dialog box.

As appropriate, change the default table properties.

Do you want to apply the change to all new documents?

  • If yes, go to Step 5. 
  • If no 
    • deselect the Apply to all new documents checkbox, and 
    • go to Step 5.

Do you want to show the Options screen to update Topic/See Page tables?

  • If yes 
    • select the Show Options Screen checkbox, and 
    • go to Step 6. 
  • If no, go to Step 6.

Click OK.
