How do I get access to the IMP Certification Exam?

Background

When you take an Information Mapping® training (classroom training, e-learning or instructor-led e-learning), you can get access to the IMP Certification Exam. This exam checks your theoretical knowledge of the Information Mapping® method by means of 20 multiple-choice questions. If you get 14 or more questions correct, you will receive your Information Mapping Professional certificate.

Procedure

Proceed as follows to get access to the IMP Certification Exam:

Go to https://informationmapping.com/#academy-login-pop-up to log in to the IM Academy.

Log in with your Information Mapping username and password.

 

Result: Once logged in, you will see a tab to take the IMP Certification exam.

Click the link to take the exam.

 

Tip: Open the Quick Reference Card as well for some guidance throughout the exam.

Answer all of the exam questions.

pass the IMP Certification Exam

 can download and print your personal IMP Certificate.

do not pass the IMP Certification Exam on the first attempt 

get a second attempt to pass the Exam.

Tip: We recommend you review your Information Mapping® training materials again before starting your second attempt.

do not pass the IMP Certification Exam on the second attempt

 can only get another attempt if you pay a recertification fee.
