Manually Adding Windows Server Roles and Features

Adding Windows Server Roles and Features 

Note: Instructions are based on Server 2012 R2.

Proceed as follows to add features:

  • Open Server Manager.
  • Click Manage.
  • Click Add Roles and Features.
  • Click Next, Next, and Next.
  • Click Server roles

  • Add ASP .NET: expand Web Server (IIS) > Web Server > Application Development.
  • Select the following:
    • ASP
    • ASP . NET 4.5
    • .NET Extensibility 4.5

Add Windows Authentication: Expand Web Server (IIS) > Web Server > Security.

  • Select Windows Authentication.  
  • Click Next.

Add .NET 4.5 Framework.

Click Next and Install.
