Symptom
When you continue a Map Title and save your FS Pro 2013 document as PDF, the continued Map Title shows the following error:
Error! Use the Home tab to apply Heading 4; Map Title to the text that you want to appear here
Cause
This error is caused a wrong field reference in Word because of the user's regional settings in Windows. FS Pro is looking for the style Heading 4, Map Title (Heading 4 - comma - Map Title) but the field refers to Heading 4; Map Title (Heading 4 - semicolon - Map title) because 2 users with different regional settings have worked on the document/template.
Solution
Proceed as follows to resolve this issue:
Step |
Action |
---|---|
1 |
Open your Word document. |
2 |
Right-click the field of the continued Map Title and choose Toggle Field Codes. Result: You will see something like {STYLEREF "Heading 4; Map Title" /* MERGEFOMAT} |
3 |
Change the semicolon between Heading 4 and Map Title to a colon, or vice versa. |
4 |
Press F9 to update the field |
5 |
Repeat steps 2 to 4 until all field codes for the continued Map Titles are updated. Tip: you may have to do this for continued Block labels as well. Then the style is Heading 5; Block label. |
6 |
Save the document in Word and save it as PDF again. Result: This error will not occur anymore. |
