Removing Continued Elements

Summary

The Remove Continue function removes page breaks and other continued elements from either

  • a single page, or 
  • an entire document.

somewhere before the continued elements you want to remove.

Procedure

Use the table below to determine how to remove continued pages.

If you want to remove the continued page(s) from a(n)  ...

Then ...

single continued page

select Remove Continue Page from the Continue drop-down menu of the Advanced Ribbon Group.

entire document

select Remove All Continues from the Continue drop-down menu of the Advanced Ribbon Group.

Results

The remove continue function removes page breaks and the following continued elements:

  • Continued on next page lines 
  • Map Title, Continued 
  • Block label, (continued), and 
  • continued table headers, if tables have been continued.

Restoring the deleted item

To restore the deleted item

  • select Undo from the Word Edit menu until everything is restored, or 
  • close the document without saving changes.
