User Roles in the FS Pro Cloud

Overview user roles

If you are using FS Pro for Business, you can define various user roles in the FS Pro Cloud. Here's an overview of all roles:

Role Responsibility
Cloud Administrator
  • Manages user roles.
  • Creates and views publications.
  • Approves or rejects publications.
  • Creates and moves folders.
  • Has access to all folders.
Validator
  • Creates and views publications.
  • Approves or rejects publications.
  • Creates and moves folders.
  • Has access to all folders.
Publisher
  • Creates and views publications.
  • Creates and moves folders.
  • Has only access to the shared folder and folders which he has been granted permissions.
Viewer
  • Views publications that are shared with them.
  • Have a “read-only” profile.
  • Do not need an FS Pro license.
  • Has only access to folders which he has been granted permissions.

 

How to assign user roles

You can assign user roles in the FS Pro Cloud. If you are a License Administrator in the FS Pro Console, you can assign roles per user.

Please follow the procedure below:

Step Action

Go to FS Pro Cloud.

Note: you can only see this as Cloud Administrator.

Click Account.

Click User Management.

Do any or all of the following in the administrator view:

  • Create new users (if they have a Business license).
  • Delete users
  • Change access permissions
