Background
The Topic/See Page table is generated from the structure of your document.
If an item does not appear in the Topic/See Page table after you click Update or Update All, the cause is often that the previous item in the document does not end with a Block Line.
The user is not notified when this happens. The Topic/See Page table simply does not update correctly and may not show all items.
Solution: Check whether the previous item ends with a Block Line
When an item is missing from the Topic/See Page table, check the item before it in the document.
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | In the Topic/See Page table, identify the item that is missing. |
| 2 | In the document, go to the item that should appear in the table. |
| 3 | Check the item immediately before that missing item. |
| 4 | Verify whether that previous item ends with a Block Line. |
| 5 | If it does not end with a Block Line, add one:
|
| 6 | After adding the Block Line, go to Topic/See Page Table and click Update or Update All. |
| 7 | Result: The missing item should now appear in the Topic/See Page table. |
Additional information
If an item is missing from the Topic/See Page table, the issue is often not with that item itself, but with the structure of the item before it.
FS Pro for Word uses the document block structure to build the Topic/See Page table. If the previous map, section, part, or chapter is not properly closed with a Block Line, the next item may not be included in the table.
If needed, review the document and make sure that every map, section, part, or chapter ends with a Block Line.
