Activating FS Pro for Word when using a proxy server

Before you begin

The FS Pro for Word license must be activated on a computer with an active internet connection.

Installation per user

FS Pro for Word is installed on a per-user basis. You need to be logged in as the user and have local admin rights on your computer to complete the installation and activation process. 

You need to ask for relevant proxy information from your IT department. 

Keep in mind FS Pro for Word does not support proxy scrips (.PAC) file

Procedure

Follow the steps in the table below to activate FS Pro for Word when you are using a proxy server.

Start FS Pro for Word or attach it to your document.

 

Result: The window Activation of FS Pro for Word appears.

Click the Network settings... button

 

Result: The Network settings screen appears.

If you use

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer: check Use settings from Internet Explorer, or
  • another Web Browser or you want to enter the Proxy Server data manually, enter:
    • the address of your Proxy Server (IP address or server name), and
    • your Proxy Port (mostly 80 or 8080).

  • Complete the required fields.
  • Click OK.

 

Note: The address used in the screenshot below is only an example. You need to fill in the correct proxy server, used in your network. Please contact your local ICT department and ask for the proxy server if you don't know this address.

  • Complete the account fields.
  • Click Start FS Pro for Word.

 

Result: FS Pro for Word is activated successfully.
