How to change Block label width?

Warning: Performing this procedure is not recommended by Information Mapping.

 

The latest version of FS Pro for Word does not include an option to change the Block label width.

However, you can change the Block label width by using the following steps:

How to change the Block label width of the default "FS Pro Style"

Go to the following directory with your File Explorer:

%localappdata%\Information Mapping\FS Pro 6\Data\ and press Enter

or C:\Users\[YourLoginName]\AppData\Local\Information Mapping\FS Pro 6\Data\

Right mouse click the file FSPro5Settings.dat and open width Notepad*
*if Notepad isn't an option: Choose another App > More Apps and Select Notepad

Modify the BlockLabelWidth Value to the wanted value.

Close and save the file after modification.

The same value must be modified in the following directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Information Mapping\FS Pro 6\Data\FSPro5Settings.dat

Close and save the file after modification.

Open the FS Pro for Word.

Result: The Block label width has been modified to the wanted value.

How to change the Block label width of a custom Style Set

Search in the Folder for a file called: FontSet.NameOfYourStyleSet.dat

Right mouse click the file FontSet.NameOfYourStyleSet.dat and open width Notepad*
*if Notepad isn't an option: Choose another App > More Apps and Select Notepad

Search for the text: Block Label and

modify the Width Value to the wanted value.

Close and save the file after modification.

Re-apply the Style Set in FS Pro for Word and you should have the new desired width.
